About The Knowledge

The Knowledge publishes practical information-technology books for students and self-taught developers.

Every title starts from the same complaint: most technical books explain *what* something is called before explaining *why* it exists. We write them the other way round. The problem comes first, then the tool that solves it, then the name people gave that tool.

The books are written, edited and typeset in-house, which is why they cost a fraction of what a textbook usually does.
